This Buddhist temple was built in 800 AD near Yogyakarta in Central Java, the central island of Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country in the world..
Most Indonesians are Muslim which is why Borobudar is a pilgrimage place for followers of the Buddha, and a popular attraction for all religions due to it's amazing construction. The Stupa is built in an enormous mound with ring upon ring of ornate carvings and spires pointing above.
