Lord's Bridge, Devils Water, Dilston.

Devils water runs from the West Dipton Burn through Hexhamshire past the Dipton Mill pub, through Swallowship Woods, and down to the Scout camp at Dilston.
The bridge was the main entrance to Dilston Castle, Hall and grounds from Hexham.
The steep banks from the water to the Castle made it more secure and well defended. The Bridge, Castle and Chapel are pre – 16th century.
